LearnPlay.ai
Cobalt's Learning Cove and our family of playful worlds. Made by VR Tabs. Free web beta, updated October 17, 2026.
LearnPlay.ai is the collection's brand, not a claim that an AI tutor assesses or teaches your child. The learning games use designed activities, recordings and browser speech; they do not send children's answers to an AI service. Cobalt is a fictional guide, not a human teacher. No headset is needed.
For Grown-ups
Play together and choose activities that suit the learner. The five learning paths suggest starting points from ages 3 to 18, not age restrictions, IQ scores, or ability assessments. Brain Lab topics and challenge levels can be adjusted independently. The game offers practice and creative play, not a complete curriculum or professional advice. Educator review, physical-device checks, and a comprehensive accessibility review remain ongoing work.
Privacy on the Web
The game adds no accounts, ads, analytics, purchases, messaging, or microphone access. It does not upload learner names, progress, drawings, optional notes, or answers. Device memory is optional and off by default. When enabled, selected data stays in this browser; the game does not synchronize it to a server. A nickname is enough.
Like other websites, loading pages and audio sends ordinary requests to our hosting provider, Hostinger, including an IP address and requested file. Hosting security and access logs may record these requests. Individual audio requests can indicate which teaching clip was played. This is not the zero-network behavior of the original offline edition.
Natural Cobalt uses prerecorded, AI-generated MP3 clips served by VR Tabs, with browser speech as a fallback for new text without a recording. Classic Robot uses browser speech synthesis; the selected voice may be provided locally or by your browser's voice service. The game does not request or record microphone input.
Browser saves are shared with other people using the same browser profile. They can be removed through the game's parent options or browser settings. Clearing site data also clears other preferences stored on the same website. Outside resources have their own policies and require the game's grown-up check; that check is a convenience, not a device-level parental lock.
Credits
Letter Sounds and Learning Workshop share twenty-six unmodified English Feed the Monster recordings, made available by Curious Learning and the Feed the Monster contributors under CC BY 4.0. These model one common sound for each letter (short vowels, hard c/g), with Q paired with U. The qu in queen and x in box each represent two sounds; neither is included in the single-sound quiz or three-sound word practice. Full attribution and provenance · File checksums. No endorsement is implied. These clips are served locally at their original speed, separate from Cobalt's letter-name and word narration. “Hear three sounds” plays separate sounds; it does not model a continuous blend. A grown-up should help children join them into a word. Letter-team exploration models whole words, not isolated recorded digraph sounds. No microphone, speech recognition or pronunciation score is used.
Learning activities and Cobalt artwork come from the owner's existing learning-game project, adapted from its generic v63 edition. Family-specific names and recordings are excluded.
Drawing Reef includes Atrament 5.1.0 by Jakub Fiala under the MIT license. Its complete copyright and license notice are preserved in the game source.
Watercolor pigment mixing uses Spectral.js 3.0.0, copyright 2025 Ronald van Wijnen, under the MIT license. The unmodified library is hosted locally and loaded only when Watercolors is opened. Fixed paint colors blend where strokes overlap on the paper. An optional custom well also mixes colors before painting. This is a simplified pigment and transparency model, not a fluid simulation; actual paints can behave differently.
Discovery pictures and art stamps are unmodified OpenMoji 17 graphics by the OpenMoji contributors, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. That license continues to apply to the included graphics. Phonics ordering draws on the MIT-licensed Buzzphonics project.
The crab sticker is the unmodified OpenMoji 17 crab (1F980), provided locally under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
The original project generated narration locally using Kokoro-82M v1.0 (Apache-2.0) through kokoro-onnx (MIT). This web edition serves those recordings on demand and does not run an AI model or incur an AI API charge.
